I would like to see WPLUG continue to reach out to members of the Pittsburgh area Linux community. I am pleased with the board's one, three, and five year goals. |

I run into people frequently that use and love Linux. They don't necessarily want to join WPLUG, but I want them to know it exists. I would also like to see more about companies and organizations in the area that use Linux. |

About Me
I've lived in Pittsburgh for 12 years. I hold a Bachelors of Science from Carnegie Mellon, and am employed professionally as a Scientific Programmer for the University of Pittsburgh.
What I want for WPLUG
I would like to see WPLUG gain in profile. I want people who don't use Linux to know that they could come to WPLUG in order to get more familiar with it.
WPLUG can make an impact in the community. In the spirit of Open Source, we need to identify areas where the group's collective resources could be used to benefit others.
In my opinion, Open Source is tied to altruism. In the same way, WPLUG must elicit altruism from its members. This means finding ways to get people involved and encouraging them to be active.
