The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of the Western Pennsylvania Linux Users Group was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at 7:08 PM, at 6374 Morrowfield Avenue in Squirrel Hill, the regular presiding officer being in the chair and the Secretary being present. The minutes of the [[WPLUGBoard/Meeting-20090203|February 3, 2009 meeting]] were approved as read. |

The Chair reported that he will be meeting next week with John Wallace who is leading the effort to establish a new community center in Homewood, including a computer lab for children. He also reported that he just recently contacted the various WPLUG committees to obtain their selections for committee chairs. |

The Vice-Chair reported that he had placed a notice for the upcoming General User Meeting with the City Paper. |

The Secretary reported that WPLUG currently has 25 members. |

The Treasurer reported that the PO box has been renewed for one year and that there is currently $173 cash on hand and $435.87 in the checking account. He has a $25 check still to be deposited into the account. |

The Program Committee reported that the topic of April's General User Meeting will be on how to get the broader world interested in using Linux. |

Michael Semcheski moved "to renew the domain name pittlug.org for one year." After debate, the motion failed. |

Brian Seklecki noted that he would arrange with Duncan Hutty to pick up the hardware of the former beta wiki, wplug.ece.cmu.edu. |
