Hi I've been a Linux user since 1997. I first started off with Mandrake (pre-law suit from the Comic strip). Rough, but I actually (at that time) enjoyed fixing a broken upgrade. Rebuilding library links and the such. However, in 2004,5 Mandrake changed they well got nasty on the Mailing list and I became disgusted with them. Then Ubuntu came along and I never looked back or for another distro i.e. until the last couple of releases of Ubuntu with the Unity desktop. I then went to the Kubuntu on my desktop which I find to be bloated but with the effects turned off performance is acceptable. I have a Dell D830 that I run Linu Mint 14 on using either Cinamonn or KDE desktops. I like its' snappy performance and old school approach (gnome 2.2 :-)). |

Currently, I'm serving another 1 year term as a member of the WPLUG board. This time as the Treasurer. This is my third year on the Board. I can be reached directly at: treasurer@wplug.org
