Our second General User Meeting of 2007 will occur on March 10th, 2007 from 10am to 2pm at Carnegie Mellon University, Newell Simon Hall 3002. It will feature both a members business meeting, from 10am to 10:45am, and a presentation for the remainder of the session. The meeting is free and open to the public and no reservation is required. We encourage all those interested to attend.
Schedule for the Day
9:30am - Setup
10:00am - Business Meeting Starts
10:45am - Business Meeting Ends
11:00am - Featured Presentation "How Do I Do That?"
12:00pm - Brief break for Pizza
12:30pm - Resume presenation
1:15pm - Social Time
2:00pm - Finish clean up, everyone out
Speaker/Presentation
"How do I do that?" - This presentation by multiple members of WPLUG will address many of the basic questions of how to do things in Linux, especially if someone is used to doing them in Windows. If you have questions about how to do something, make sure to add it to the How Do I Do That? web page. We'll go over issues on that page and select a subsection of them to present.
Business Meeting
There will be an actual business meeting at this meeting. We have actual motions to vote on that involve changing the bylaws. All mail in ballots must be received by Friday, March 9th, 2007 at 5pm. Those wishing to vote in person may do so.
