WPLUG will have a General User Meeting and presentation on Saturday, April 10th, 2010, starting at 11am at the Wilkins School Community Center.

Schedule for the Day

10:30am - Doors open, set up
11:00am - Business Meeting starts
11:30am - Featured Presentation
12:30pm - Meeting ends, everyone out. We are likely to go to D's 6pack or Square Cafe for lunch.

Speaker/Presentation

Kristopher "Piki" Gamrat is a college student studying computer forensics and programming. He has used Linux since 2007 and quickly discovered Ark Linux, a straight-forward Linux distribution for new users. Piki enjoys giving back as the webmaster of http://www.arklinux.org and is getting into packaging for Unity Linux.

Piki will speak about The Advantages of Linux in the community. Do you think free software would be a good choice at work? Would the people at your favorite non-profit use Linux? How about the members of your family? This presentation will challenge you to consider Linux beyond the typical. The result would be the people you care about using the best software available!
