Internet Committee

Handles operation and maintenance of the web server, mailing list, IRC channel, and other network services for the group.

Members: Vance Kochenderfer (committee chair), Patrick Barron, David Ostroske

Program Committee

Handles planning and making arrangements for all WPLUG events, including presentations, installfests, and tutorials, except those events assigned to another committee.

Investigating Committee

Investigates any disciplinary questions not assigned to special committees.

Members: Michael Hansell (committee chair), Mark Dalrymple, Bill Moran

Newsletter Committee

Publishes a monthly newsletter (The Open Pitt) reporting on WPLUG and open source activities in the region.

Members: Vance Kochenderfer (committee chair), Michael Semcheski

ErieLUG Revival Committee

Established to assist in getting ErieLUG up and running again.

Members: Vance Kochenderfer (ex-officio as WPLUG Chair), Beth Lynn Eicher, Chris Teodorski, Dave Kraus, Dave Ostroske


Public Relations Committee

Its purpose is:

  1. To swell the ranks of WPLUG membership.
  2. To establish and maintain WPLUG's reputation as a key organization for Open Source in western Pennsylvania.
  3. To maintain a high level of awareness of WPLUG activities with the general public.
  4. To obtain favorable publicity for WPLUG.
  5. To establish and maintain contact with other Open Source organizations to coordinate efforts to further the cause of Open Source.
