We will have an InstallFest on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's Brookline Branch on Brookline Blvd.

There will be wireless internet for library card holders. A wired network will also be set up. Please note the acceptable use policy on the InstallFest page.

Presentation[edit]

From 11am to noon, Vance Kochenderfer will be giving an introductory presentation titled You can do that in Linux?

Yes, you can:

  • Work on word processing documents and spreadsheets
  • Visit your favorite web sites
  • Download and manage photos from your digital camera
  • Contact your friends by e-mail and instant message
  • Manage your music collection and connect to your portable player
