WPLUG will have a General User Meeting and presentation on Saturday, May 9th, 2009, starting at 11am at the Wilkins School Community Center.

11:00am - Business Meeting starts
11:30am - Featured Presentation
12:30pm - Meeting ends, everyone out. We are likely to go to D's 6pack or Square Cafe for lunch.

Speaker/Presentation

What's new in Fedora 11 - Yaakov Nemoy will talk about what features are new in the upcoming Fedora 11 release. Many of these features are upstream contributions and are also showing up in many other distributions. Come find out what the next six months have in store for Linux.

Meeting Minutes

The regular monthly meeting of the Western Pennsylvania Linux Users Group was held on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 11:05 AM, at the Wilkins School Community Center. David Kraus called the meeting to order and without objection served as chairman pro tem. The regular Secretary was present. The minutes of the April 4, 2009 meeting were approved as read.

The Treasurer reported that WPLUG funds in the checking account and cash on hand total approximately $684.

The Secretary reported that WPLUG currently has 25 members.

The Wilkins School Networking Committee reported they will be meeting on May 11 at 6:00 PM at the Wilkins School. This meeting will discuss the architecture of the network, and the committee chair will meet with the Board of Directors of the Wilkins School Community Center at 7:00 PM to present the plan.

The Program Committee reported that an installfest will be held on June 6 at the Brookline branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. The presentation for the July 11 General User Meeting will be about voice over IP and the Asterisk PBX.

The meeting adjourned at 12:16 PM.
