IBM Squirrel Hill
IBM's Squirrel Hill facility is located in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, at 1710 Murray Avenue, on the 3rd floor. The IBM office is on the 3rd floor of this building, above the Silk Elephant restaurant.
Transit Info
The meeting location is accessible to several Port Authority transit routes, including routes 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D, and 67. Please refer to the Port Authority web site to obtain transit schedules for the specific day and time you plan to visit the facility.
Parking
On street parking is available in the area. There are also several Pittsburgh Parking Authority meter lots nearby. As of this writing, parking meters for street parking are enforced Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm, and parking meters in the meter lots are enforced Monday through Saturday from 8am to 10pm.
Access to the building
To access the building, enter the lobby for the Silk Elephant restaurant. However, instead of entering the restaurant, take the elevator to the right of the restaurant entrance up to the 3rd floor, or take the stairs to the 3rd floor.
Access to the meeting location
IBM is located on the 3rd floor of the 1710 Murray Avenue facility.
Upon exiting the elevator on the 3rd floor, go to the right - the door to the meeting facility will be blocked open, or there will be signs directing you as to how to gain access to the facility.
All visitors to IBM's facilities must sign in upon entry.
Wireless Internet access
IBM provides a "guest wireless" system which allows guests to access the Internet. However, if you plan to use wireless Internet at the meeting location, you must inform the host of the meeting in advance. Each guest wireless user must be individually registered in advance with their name and e-mail address. It may not be possible for the meeting host to register you for wireless Internet access "on the spot", as these registrations take some time to process. At this time, the guest wireless registration procedure has been suspended - no advance registration is required to access the guest wireless for Internet access. Guests should connect to SSID "IBMVISITOR".
